Choice was founded in 1999 by its current Managing Director, Aloysius Ihezie. In the beginning the company concentrated on collecting, sorting and exporting used clothing to countries in Africa. Over subsequent years, Choice carefully developed many further opportunities for people to recycle unwanted goods and, at the same time, give more support to different charities.

As the company grew and as a result of increasing research and innovation, Choice now collects and recycles a much wider range of non-textile materials such as books, bric a brac, electrical items and household items.

During this same period Choice introduced textile, book and media bank initiatives making it even easier for the public to recycle unused items and for our partner charities to benefit from the extra income this generated.
