Our MD, Aloysius Ihezie, has throughout his working life shown a very real interest in the charity sector, a deep concern for the environment and a passionate belief in the value of education. Many of the staff currently working with Choice have served the company for many years working hard to ensure that our clients receive the very best support that Choice can provide.
Choice operates from its two main warehouses based in North London and Milton Keynes; from these sites we are well placed to offer a comprehensive collection service throughout London and the south east.
Choice has demonstrated a passionate interest in the UK charity sector since its first collections in 1999. Over the subsequent years Choice introduced many innovations including, in 2006, the first ever collection of books from charity shops. Since that time, in operations copied by other companies, several million books have been diverted from landfill and are now recycled or reused.
With our modern fleet and dedicated, friendly and hard working drivers we provide clients with a service that is second to none.
Choice has a fully staffed Customer Service team plus a Senior Customer Relations Manager with over forty years experience working in the charity sector.
Choice will always seek further ways to help our clients; for example working with Thames Hospice Choice has provided fully branded Textile Banks at no cost to the Hospice. We welcome requests from other clients where Choice may be able to provide further support.
Choice places great importance on the health and safety of our staff; the company is a member of the Textile Recycling Association, has comprehensive public liability insurance and holds a full waste carriers licence.
Choice has been in the recycling industry since 1999. We initially started out as a textile recycling company working alongside charity organisations, sorting and exporting used clothing to developing countries. Over the past few years, Choice has developed the business to include the recycling of non-textile materials such as books, CDs, DVDs, and much more.
We have given much thought to developing further opportunities for people to recycle unwanted goods and in the process support the work of different charities. As part of this thinking we have introduced textile and book and media bank initiatives. The public would find it easy to recycle unwanted items and our partner charities would benefit through the proceeds generated.
Choice is a business with a strong ethical ethos. We care about the environment and we are dedicated to our corporate social responsibility. We focus on quality throughout our organisation, providing excellent customer service and conducting our business in a socially responsible manner.
